Non-standard parts manufacturer: What aspects should be paid attention to when processing non-standard parts?
With the rapid development of industrial production, the demand for non-standard parts is growing steadily, and machines are placing increasingly higher demands on part precision. So, what should we pay attention to when machining non-standard parts?

1. The grit size of the abrasive should progress from coarse to fine, and the abrasives should be replaced in sequence. When replacing the abrasive, all traces left by the previous process must be completely removed, and the surface should be polished until only the polishing marks are visible. It is crucial to prevent embossing.
2. Only abrasives of the same size can be used in the same wheel. Before changing the grit size, the workpiece must be cleaned thoroughly to prevent coarse abrasive particles or other contaminants from entering the next process step and causing scratches on the ground surface.
3. Each time you perform grain-size conversion during the machining of non-standard parts, the grinding should be carried out at an angle of 30 to 45 degrees relative to the grinding direction. If there are deep scratches or marks, it’s impossible to grind only the affected areas; otherwise, you’ll have to excavate the local areas and rework the entire pit, removing the pit entirely. For workstations that are easy to grind but also prone to uneven grinding, pay special attention to ensuring uniformity in the grinding process.
Non-standard part machining Manufacturer: What are some handy tips for processing non-standard parts?
1. Disassemble the vise jaws and machine two M4 threaded holes into them. Align the jaws with two 1.5-mm-thick steel plates, then rivet a 0.8-mm-thick hard brass plate onto the jaws using aluminum rivets. Finally, secure the brass plate to the jaws with M4 countersunk screws, creating durable soft jaws that can protect delicate parts from being clamped.
Second, it’s inconvenient to use a magnet to pick up small, non-standard precision parts. However, by placing an iron plate beneath the magnet, you can not only attract many small, precise components but also easily pull the iron plate away—causing the small precision parts to automatically fall into a collection box. This solution is extremely practical.
3. If slippage occurs between the pulley and the shaft during belt drive, you can use a 15–18 mm slotted drill bit to create a series of grooves on the shaft, which will generate an adhesive force and prevent slippage.
4. In general, workpieces are first positioned and then clamped. However, for certain workpieces, clamping can cause deformation. Therefore, for such workpieces, it is essential to clamp them first and then proceed with positioning, identifying all six locating points and determining the degrees of freedom that need to be constrained.
Non-standard part machining Manufacturer: What precautions should be taken when processing non-standard parts?
1. Cutting and stamping
Because stainless steel has higher strength than conventional materials, it requires greater pressure during stamping and shearing. Only when the blade clearance is properly adjusted can we avoid issues such as poor shearing quality and work-hardening. Stainless steel can be cut using plasma or laser cutting. When gas cutting or arc cutting is necessary, the heat-affected zone should be ground down and subjected to any required heat treatment.
2. Bending Processing
Thin plates can be bent by 180 degrees; however, to minimize cracking on the curved surface, the radius of curvature should be twice the plate thickness. When bending perpendicular to the rolling direction, thicker plates require radii that are twice and four times their thickness, respectively, along and across the rolling direction. In particular, during welding, to prevent cracking during fabrication, the surface of the weld area must be carefully ground smooth.
