Ensuring the correct use of the production line can extend its service life.
1. Prevent the conveyor belt from starting under load.
2. If the conveyor belt deviates from its intended path, take corrective measures promptly.
3. Conveyor belts of different types and specifications should not be joined together; their joints must be made using adhesive bonding.
4. The type, structure, specifications, and number of plies of ordinary conveyor belts should be selected appropriately based on the operating conditions.
5. Avoid allowing the conveyor belt to become obstructed by frames, supports, or bulky materials, and prevent it from being punctured or torn. If you notice any localized damage to the conveyor belt, promptly repair it using synthetic cotton to prevent the damage from spreading.
6. The diameter of the drive roller of a roller conveyor, its relationship to the number of plies in the conveyor belt, the matching of drive rollers and return rollers, and the requirements for the groove angle of idler rollers shall be reasonably selected according to the design specifications of the conveyor.
7. The operating speed of conveyor belts generally should not exceed 2.5 m/s. For materials with large lump sizes and high abrasiveness, as well as when using fixed discharge devices, it is advisable to adopt lower speeds whenever possible.
8. During operation, if any idler rollers are missing, they should be promptly added and repaired. If idler rollers become covered with materials, causing them to rotate poorly, take measures to prevent material from getting stuck between the drum and the conveyor belt. Pay attention to lubricating the moving parts of the conveyor belt, but make sure not to contaminate the belt with oil.
9. The feeding direction should be consistent with the running direction of the conveyor belt. To minimize the impact of materials falling onto the conveyor belt, chutes should be used to reduce the drop height. In the material-receiving section of the conveyor belt, the spacing between idlers should be shortened, and cushioning idlers should be employed. For conveyor belts designed for spillage, moderately flexible deflector plates should be used to prevent overly rigid plates from scratching or damaging the belt surface.
