Non-standard part machining Company: Parts Processing Technology Process
The process at a non-standard mechanical parts processing plant involves modifying the shape, dimensions, relative positions, and properties of the workpiece based on established processes to produce finished or semi-finished products. It is a detailed description of each step and each operation. For example, as mentioned above, rough machining may include blank manufacturing, grinding, and other operations. Mechanical parts processing can be categorized into turning, fitting, milling, and other types. Each step must be accompanied by detailed data, such as surface roughness and tolerances. The part-processing procedure is as follows:

1. Equipment selection should be rational. Rough machining primarily involves removing most of the material allowance and does not require high precision; therefore, rough machining necessitates machines with greater power and higher precision. The finishing process, on the other hand, should be carried out using relatively high-precision machines. By performing rough and finish machining on separate machines, we can fully leverage the capabilities of the equipment and extend its service life.
2. To ensure the machining accuracy of parts, rough and finish machining of mechanical components should be performed separately. When machining rough mechanical parts, large cutting volumes are involved, resulting in significant cutting forces, clamping forces, heat generation, and pronounced work-hardening effects on the machined surfaces of the parts. If rough mechanical parts are continuously machined without interruption, the redistribution of stresses will quickly lead to a loss of dimensional accuracy. Non-standard part machining involves the machining of high-precision parts; after rough and finish machining, low-temperature annealing or aging treatments should be scheduled to relieve internal stresses.
3. On the part Non-standard part machining During the machining process, heat treatment processes are often incorporated to enhance the machinability of metals. These include annealing, normalizing, and tempering, typically applied during the machining of mechanical parts to relieve internal stresses—such as in age-hardening and stress-relief treatments—usually performed after rough machining but before final finishing. To improve the mechanical properties of the parts, carburizing, quenching, and tempering are generally scheduled during the machining of mechanical components. If significant deformation occurs after heat treatment, additional machining operations should also be planned accordingly.
The complexity of the shape and dimensions of precision-deformed parts, the ratio of wall thickness to overall dimensions, the ratio of width to length, as well as the stability and rigidity of the material, are all directly proportional. Therefore, when designing parts, one should minimize the impact of these factors on workpiece deformation as much as possible. Particularly in the design of large-scale parts, the structural layout must be rational. Before machining, it is essential to strictly control defects such as hardness variations and porosity in the blank to ensure its quality and thereby reduce workpiece deformation.
The process specification for a non-standard parts processing plant is one of the technical documents that defines the part-processing procedures and operational methods. Under specific production conditions, it systematically records reasonably optimized processes and operational methods in a prescribed format; after being approved, it is used to guide production.
The standard procedure for automated parts processing generally includes the following: the process route for workpiece machining, the specific content of each operation along with the equipment and process tools used, the inspection items and methods for the workpiece, cutting parameters, and time quotas.
